Regex of Gedit
Yesterday I was using gedit of Ubuntu, when I need to replace some words using regular express. There is no this function in gedit! Of course I could fire up a command line (terminal) to vi this file, but that would be a lot of hassle. So I saved the file in a shared drive, remote desktop into a Windows computer, use EditPlus to modify it.
Then I Googled. Daniel gave a regex search extension in 2006, and Ben extend it as search/replace tool 10 days ago. It works perfectly fine in my computer. The only glitch is that the function can't be activated by a shortcut. It can only be activated from the Menu Search.
Solute to hackers!
